VON WILHELM MANUFAKTUR

In the historic manufacturing yards of Wurzen—originally home to the old Saxon bronze factory and, later, the renowned lighting works established in 1862—artist Esteban Velazquez von Wilhelm has founded an extraordinary artistic center: The Von Wilhelm Art Manufactory.

Spanning approximately 2,000 square meters, the complex includes expansive gallery and exhibition halls, numerous production studios dedicated to painting, sculpture, and textile arts, as well as extensive storage rooms housing both small and large-format works on canvas, paper, and stone.

Located in the heart of Wurzen—just 17 minutes by train from Leipzig—the Von Wilhelm Art Manufactory serves not only as a vibrant creative hub but also as a contemporary space for the graphic reconstruction of German history, fostering dialogue between art, memory, and cultural identity.
